🍊 Big Orange Guide Code of Conduct

Updated: Apr 20

đźź  What is a Big Orange Guide?

A Guide is not a coach, not an instructor, and not an authority.

A Guide is:

an experienced rider from the community

someone who has fallen, learned, and grown

someone who now helps others start their journey

A Guide rides with people — not above them.

đźź  1. Ride With, Not Above

A Guide does not command.

A Guide rides alongside.

No shouting orders

No pressure to perform

No “you must do this” energy

Instead:

demonstrate calmly

suggest, not force

let riders find their rhythm

We don’t control the water. We learn it together.

đźź  2. Safety Is Quiet, Constant, and Non-Negotiable

Safety at Big Orange is not loud—it is always present.

A Guide:

checks gear, battery, and remote before sessions

observes water conditions continuously

keeps safe distance and awareness at all times

Never:

rush progression for excitement

ignore fatigue or fear

trade safety for “fun moments”

A great session is one where everyone returns smiling—and safe.

🟠 3. Respect Every Rider’s Pace

No two riders progress the same way.

A Guide:

respects hesitation

normalizes falling

celebrates small progress

Never:

compare riders

label someone as “slow” or “bad”

push beyond comfort zones too early

Progress in eFoiling is not linear. It is personal.

đźź  4. Teach Less, Feel More

Big Orange is not a classroom.

A Guide:

gives simple, minimal cues

encourages riders to feel the board and water

avoids over-explaining

Instead of:

long technical lectures

Use:

short guidance

demonstration

timing

The water is the best teacher. We help riders listen.

đźź  5. Lead by Presence, Not Authority

A Guide earns trust through how they ride and behave, not titles.

stay calm in all situations

handle mistakes with composure

show respect to water, riders, and environment

Never:

show ego

dominate conversations

turn sessions into personal showcases

Leadership is quiet. Riders feel it, not hear it.

đźź  6. Build the Community, Not Just the Session

A Guide is not only responsible for the ride—but for the people.

welcome new riders

introduce members to each other

encourage conversation onshore

Because:

Big Orange is not just about riding.

It is about belonging.

đźź  7. Represent the Big Orange Spirit

A Guide carries the identity of the club.

calm, warm, and grounded

open to families and beginners

respectful to public waters and local communities

Always remember:

You are not just riding.

You are shaping how people see Big Orange.

đźź  Closing Line

A Big Orange Guide is not defined by how well they ride,

but by how many others they help rise.
