🍊 Make Sure You Check All These Boxes Before Your First Ride

Updated: Apr 25

Your first ride is not about speed. It’s not about performance.

It’s about something simpler—and more important:

feeling the moment when the board lifts, and everything becomes quiet.

At Big Orange, we build that moment carefully.

Before you step onto the water, there are a few things we always make sure are clear—for your safety, your confidence, and your experience.

By continuing, you confirm that you understand and agree to the following principles and participation terms.

đźź  1. You Understand the Nature of the Sport

eFoiling is smooth, quiet, and incredibly rewarding.

But it is still a powered water activity.

That means:

  • you may fall (everyone does)

  • water conditions can change

  • balance takes time to develop

This is not a risk to fear—it’s something to respect and understand.

At Big Orange, we say:

Riders learn to move with the water — not against it.

👉 This reflects your acknowledgment of the inherent risks described in the Participant Waiver.

đźź  2. You Accept Personal Responsibility

This is a club, not a school.

We guide you—but we don’t control you.

That means:

  • you ride within your own ability

  • you listen to your Guide

  • you stay aware of your surroundings

We are right there with you, but the experience is yours to own.

👉 By participating, you agree to act responsibly and follow all instructions as outlined in the Safety Acknowledgment Agreement.

đźź  3. You Follow the Big Orange Safety System

Before every session, we keep things simple and consistent.

You will always check:

  • helmet secured

  • impact vest properly fitted

  • remote control understood

  • riding zone clearly defined

No shortcuts. No rushing.

This is how we keep the experience smooth, calm, and safe.

👉 All participants must comply with the Big Orange Safety System and accept the authority of designated safety roles, including the Observer.

đźź  4. You Respect the Session Environment

Big Orange sessions are designed to feel:

  • calm

  • focused

  • pressure-free

To keep it that way:

  • no reckless riding

  • no alcohol or unsafe behavior

  • respect for other riders and shared space

Everyone on the water contributes to the atmosphere.

👉 This reflects your agreement to follow the Big Orange Code of Conduct.

đźź  5. You Understand Booking & Session Commitments

We keep our sessions small and intentional.

That means:

  • spots are limited

  • preparation matters

  • timing matters

Before booking, please note:

  • cancellations: at least 72 hours in advance

  • rescheduling: at least 48 hours in advance

  • no-shows result in forfeited sessions

  • weather adjustments may happen for safety

We respect your time—and ask for the same in return.

👉 All bookings are subject to the Big Orange Booking & Cancellation Policy.

🟠 6. You’re Comfortable Being Part of the Experience

Big Orange is more than a session.

It’s a shared experience.

We may capture moments through:

  • drone footage

  • action cameras

  • community content

These moments help tell the story of the ride.

If you join, you’re part of that story.

👉 By participating, you consent to media capture and use unless you opt out under the Media Release Agreement.

🟠 7. You’re Ready to Start From Zero

No experience needed. No pressure to perform.

Just a willingness to:

  • try

  • fall

  • adjust

  • try again

That’s the whole process.

That’s how everyone starts.

đźź  8. Participation & Equipment Responsibility

All equipment provided by Big Orange is to be used responsibly and as instructed.

Participants agree to:

  • follow all usage guidelines

  • avoid misuse or unsafe handling

  • report any issues immediately

👉 Use of equipment is subject to the Equipment Rental & Usage Agreement.

đźź  9. Additional Conditions (Events & Youth Participation)

Depending on your session type:

  • Event participants must follow structured group coordination and shared responsibility

  • Minors require guardian consent and must follow age-based participation rules

👉 Additional agreements apply where relevant, including Event Participation Terms and Youth Consent.

🍊 The Big Orange Philosophy

Every step in this system exists for one purpose:

👉 to help you reach that moment—safely

The moment when:

  • the board lifts

  • the water becomes quiet

  • and everything suddenly makes sense

🍊 Before You Continue

By booking or participating, you confirm that you:

âś” Understand the nature of the activity

âś” Accept personal responsibility

âś” Agree to follow all safety instructions

âś” Accept the use of equipment under guidance

âś” Understand booking and participation policies

👉 All participation requires acceptance of Big Orange terms.
