🍊 Before You Ride
Your first ride is not about speed. It’s not about performance.
It’s about something simpler—and more important:
feeling the moment when the board lifts, and everything becomes quiet.
At Big Orange, we build that moment carefully.
Before you step onto the water, there are a few things we always make sure are clear—for your safety, your confidence, and your experience.
🟠 1. Nature of the Activity & Assumption of Risk
eFoiling is smooth, quiet, and incredibly rewarding.
But it is still a powered water activity involving inherent risks.
That means:
you may fall (everyone does)
water conditions can change
balance takes time to develop
equipment carries speed and propulsion
These risks may result in injury or loss of control.
This is not something to fear—it is something to understand and respect.
At Big Orange, we say:
Riders learn to move with the water — not against it.
🟠 2. Personal Responsibility
This is a club, not a school.
We guide you—but we don’t control you.
That means:
you ride within your own ability
you listen to your Guide
you stay aware of your surroundings
We are right there with you, but the experience is yours to own.
You are responsible for your actions at all times.
🟠 3. Safety System & Authority
Big Orange operates under a structured safety system.
Before every session, you will always check:
helmet secured
impact vest properly fitted
remote control understood
riding zone clearly defined
In all sessions:
the Observer has final authority on safety decisions
all instructions must be followed immediately
sessions may be stopped at any time for safety
No shortcuts. No rushing.
🟠 4. Conduct & Environment
Big Orange sessions are designed to feel:
calm
focused
pressure-free
To maintain this environment:
no reckless riding
no alcohol or unsafe behavior
respect for other riders and shared space
Participants may be removed from sessions for unsafe or disruptive behavior.
🟠 5. Booking & Participation Commitment
We keep our sessions small and intentional.
That means:
spots are limited
preparation matters
timing matters
By booking, you agree:
cancellations require at least 72 hours notice
rescheduling requires at least 48 hours notice
no-shows result in forfeiture of payment
sessions may be modified or canceled due to weather or safety conditions
🟠 6. Equipment Responsibility
All equipment is provided in safe working condition.
Participants agree to:
use equipment only as instructed
avoid misuse or reckless operation
report any issues immediately
Damage caused by misuse or negligence may result in financial responsibility.
🟠 7. Media & Shared Experience
Big Orange is more than a session—it is a shared experience.
We may capture moments through:
drone footage
action cameras
community media
These moments help tell the story of the ride.
Participants may opt out, but should be aware that sessions take place in a shared and visible environment.
🟠 8. Events & Extended Activities
Some activities involve:
group riding
exploration routes
changing environments
Participants in these activities:
share responsibility for awareness and safety
must follow structured team roles
must comply with all instructions from safety personnel
🟠 9. Youth Participation
For participants under 18:
guardian consent is required
guardian must be present on-site
participation is limited based on age and readiness
Big Orange does not replace parental supervision.
🟠 10. Right to Refuse or Remove
Big Orange Water Sports LLC reserves the right to:
refuse participation
stop any session
remove any participant
for safety, conduct, or operational reasons.
No refund is guaranteed in such cases.
